Reading a dial

A figure's whole life is printed on its dial. Each position of the dial is a click, and each click shows four combat values.

The four combat values

Clicks and KO

When a figure takes damage you turn its dial that many clicks, and the numbers and powers change. Most figures get weaker as they go, some get angrier. When the dial shows KO, the figure is out of the game. Healing turns the dial back the other way, but never past the starting line.

Starting lines and point values

A figure with more than one point value has more than one starting line. The cheaper version starts deeper into the same dial, so it has fewer clicks of life. In the maker, each point value has a "starts on click" number, and the card back marks that click in colour.

Coloured squares

A colour behind a number is a standard power. A white square with a heavy black border is a special power, which is explained on the figure's card. Traits are always on, no matter which click is showing.
